![]() That being said neither the PR nor the Baron's are crap. Using the stock airbox and our filter kit releases another 3. This bike responds very well to increased airflow by reducing the intake restriction. There are literally thousands of products out there that have a patent pending that are total crap. Yamaha Raider - Ivans Airbox kit photos The stock airbox on this bike is pretty restrictive although it does a pretty good job of keeping things quiet. It does not mean it's the best thing out there since sliced bread. Having a patent pending does not mean the product is any good at all it just means that you made something differently than anyone else so you get a patent so it can't be copied. I posted a pic at the bottom of the post. Your picture shows the velocity stacks the first picture I posted does not but I found a picture that does here. Those velocity stacks on the PR look almost exactly like the velocity stacks of the Baron's BAK. Had you done your homework to it's conclusion you would know this. The PR with it's patent pending does not produce any more power than Baron's BAK and at most maybe 2 HP more than the BAM. ![]() You are a fellow brother here and I respect that and you for that matter but your homework is incomplete. I believe in the mod I did and you believe in the mods you have done.at the end of the day we both own a Raider and you are my forum brother and for that I am grateful. ![]() I spent 6+ hours putting in the PR Racing Hi-Flo air kit, I will be posting a pictorial of how I ran all the vacuum lines and oil catch can.īill I don't want to get into a drawn out pissing match on this. 2011 Yamaha Raider S - 8500. Pingel is another company that I purchased the oil catch can from after exhaustive research, their catch can is has a patent pending.I don't just throw up garbage post, I do my homework and I do all the work myself. Any company that patents a product you know they have thrown a shit ton of R&D into it. Look at the two black billet aluminum stacks in my photo, that my friend is the difference worth putting a patent on. The Barons and others are just filters and modifications to the air box. There have been LOTS of electrical issues with people who run FC's. extra wiring and connectors and harnesses that you require with a FC. One thing Ivan does not mention is the reliability of tuning inside the ECU vs. (More relaxed gear changes and throttle modulation at all speeds)įree upgrades when/if we make improvements.ĩ) Return your ecu back to stock at no charge for any reason. (the ones that cannot be fixed with an external fuel tuner)Ī) Gets rid of poor throttle transitions from closed throttle.ī) Gets rid of annoying popping and banging during decel and also when re-applying the throttle from closed.Ĭ) Throttle modulation is noticably improved over what can be achieved with a fuel tuner alone.ĭ) Feels buttery smooth upon re-application from closed throttle (in all riding conditions).Ī) Gets rid of part throttle timing retarder for more response and less vibration when cruising and moderate acceleration.ī) Gets rid of high rpm timing retarder allowing the engine to make maximum power for longer.Ĭ) Set timing for maximium power and driveability across the entire rpm range & all throttle positionsĭ) Adjust timing to be the same for all gears.Ĥ) Raise rev-limit in all gears to 7100 rpmĥ) Anything that compromises performance and/or driveability is eliminated.ħ) Reduced heavy engine braking on decel. 1) Fix all inherent fueling problems inside the ECU.
